7 Things To Do at Prado Farms in Lubao, Pampanga

The Farm House at Prado Farms
The place was once a sprawling sugarcane plantation owned by three of the prominent families of Pampanga. It has its own airfield and back then having one was of course synonymous to vast financial capacity.

In the 1960’s, it was acquired by the husband and wife, Victor Gutierrez and Amanda Ocampo. In 1970s, They converted the frontage of the property into an LPG refilling station.

The LPG refilling station is long gone. What remain is the gate made of “LPG tanks” which is just the tip of what lies inside Prado Farms.

Inside are collections of junks turned into colorful and beautiful pieces of artsy junks. At Prado Farms, nothing go to waste...everything was transformed into something else.

The name Prado is taken from the barangay where the farm is located…Brgy Prado Siongco.

To fully enjoy your stay in the farm, here are the things that you can do:

1. Feast on their farm-grown and home-cooked organic foods.

2. Enjoy the clear and cool water of the pool. Even this is organic...no chlorine...they use salt instead.

3. Bike around the farm. Bicycles of different sizes and color are provided that can be used to roam around. The blue bike is Daniz favorites and she's been using it since our arrival. But when the "day-tour" guests arrived, she cannot find it...

4. Experience a carabao cart ride around the farm with the other guests. Or in case of Daniz, since the guests already had their ride, she went solo.

5. Pray. Just a short prayer or a lengthy one...when you enter the chapel you cannot help but kneel or sit comfortably on the chair or on the mat and say a prayer.

6. Do nothing...laze around...enjoy some quiet time. There are chairs scattered around the area that invites you to sit and be calm...to chill and relax...to take in the fresh air, listen to the sounds of birds chirping or feel the gush of the wind.

7. Walk around and take photos of everything that caught your attention…there’s tons of it. Last but not the least, every nook and cranny of Prado Farms is an invitation for a photo op. The farm is a haven for photographers.

The Main Building.
Look up  on the ceiling and you can see not chandelier but wooden wheels, chairs and other knick knacks.

Inside the Blue House.
We love everything about the blue house...especially the stairs. The last one with the "whimsical window" is taken from the balcony of the blue house.

Inside the Yellow House.
The kitchen and the spiral staircase is a sight to behold but its main feature is the quaint library on the second floor...the walls are lined with shelves filled with books.

Inside the Pink House.
This is adjacent to the main building. The first floor housed the "he" and "she" comforts rooms. But the second floor is the main attraction. It has a receiving area, a bedroom and a balcony. It is being rented as resting / dressing room for photo sessions like pre-nuptial.
